Mary W. Simensen, M.Ed., L.M.H.C.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and hold a Master in Education. I have worked in education for over twenty years as a school counselor, teacher of special education and gifted students, curriculum director and school administrator. I am pleased to be in private practice in Vancouver.

I specialize in working with children and adolescents, offering mental health counseling, academic tutoring, and educational assessments. My practice also involves working with adults, parents and families on mental health and parenting issues, as well as educational consulting.

The goal is to assist clients in finding useful solutions to problems. This process includes acquiring and practicing new skills, learning new ways of thinking and acquiring more effective ways of coping.
